WHAT IS REPAIRABLE?
All carbon frames can be fixed, we have repaired over 5,500 frames and components to date. The process of layering carbon fiber, by compressing the frame or components,  and the cure process of new carbon fiber weave is similar to the way new carbon bikes are made in the factories around the world.
WHAT TYPE OF DAMAGE IS REPAIRABLE?
From minor damage, through to major damage such as fixed tubes that have snapped into multiple pieces. Bottom-Brackets shells can be replaced, cable stops, front derailleur braze –on can be repaired. Carbon Wheel-sets can be repaired as long as the brake track is not damaged in any way.
HOW IS THE CARBON REPAIR DONE?
The damaged carbon is removed and then the damaged area is sanded down tapering towards the missing fibers. New Layers of carbon fiber are used to re-construct the damaged area and then it is cured. Finally the repaired area is manually sanded down in order to match the original shape of the frame.
HOW DO REPAIRS AFFECT PERFORMANCE OF THE BIKES AND COMPONENTS?
We match the carbon fiber weave and orientation of a frames original fibers restoring it to the frames original condition when it was produced in the factories around the world. All repaired components are subjected to fatigue tests before it is shipped to the customer.
CAN CARBON-WORKS PAINT THE FRAME TO ORIGINAL CONDITION?
We can match the original colour finish, paint factory decals and apply the clear coat onto the repaired area for an additional cost since this requires high quality workmanship with attention to detail.
